CONRAD E. COFFIELD

Conrad E. Coffield moved his practice to the Firm's Santa Fe office in January 1994 from Midland, Texas. Mr. Coffield opened the Midland, Texas office of Hinkle, Hensley, Shanor & Martin, L.L.P. in January 1966 after practicing with the Firm's Roswell, New Mexico office for seven years. Mr. Coffield's practice relates to all oil and gas matters. He has expertise in the areas of federal, fee and State of New Mexico leases, unit and communitization agreements and is experienced in matters involving the Federal Bureau of Land Management, the New Mexico State Land Office, the Texas General Land Office, Texas University Lands Office and the New Mexico Oil Conservation Division. Mr. Coffield attended the South Dakota School of Mines and earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Washington University at St. Louis. He received his law degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 1959. He has published articles, has presented papers and has served as a seminar instructor for business and professional groups on federal leases and units and State of New Mexico regulatory matters. Mr. Coffield has also completed course work and special training for qualification to work in mediation and other alternative dispute resolution methods and has served as the third party neutral in connection with a variety of mediated disputes He is a member of the State Bars of Texas and New Mexico, the American Bar Association, the Permian Basin Association of Attorney Mediators as well as the ADR Section of the Texas State Bar. He is a Life Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation.
