In the mid-1950's, many of the firm's major oil company clients established West Texas-New Mexico headquarters in Midland, Texas. The Midland office was opened in 1966 to enable the firm to service those clients.

In subsequent years, the office expanded its staff and extended its areas of practice far beyond the original concept of a specialty office for oil company clients with New Mexico interests. Midland lawyers have expertise to serve individuals and corporations doing business in both Texas and New Mexico.
