The law associates at Hinkle Shanor LLP typically are a product of our summer clerkship program. However, the firm welcomes the opportunity to hire lateral candidates. Our associates are hired directly by one of our three offices, and they generally will stay at the hiring location throughout their career. Our general partnership tract is a minimum of five and one half years experience with the firm. We allow for years of service credit for clerkships at the federal level at the time of hire.

The firm strives to pay competitive rates for our local markets with annual increases. We also offer a very complete benefit package including 401k plan with a profit sharing component, health insurance, life, long term disability, paid parking, and CLE allowances. While law firms in our regional market cannot compete with the salary ranges of the larger markets such as Dallas, Houston or Denver, you will find our firm has a lifestyle and work environment that few of the larger cities can offer.

Associates will work under the direction of one of the partners at all times. We make every effort to provide a variety of challenging work and the opportunity to work with most of the partners in the office. An associate will assume an increased level of responsibility and client contact very quickly in the firm. We believe in allowing our associates to prove themselves as soon as they are ready for the challenge.
